Some adventures simply call for more space. Whether you are heading out on a longer overlanding trip, spending winter in the mountains or exploring beyond paved roads, you know how quickly equipment can take over your camper.

The DSRT BOX XL gives you extra storage exactly where you need it: outside your vehicle. With generous dimensions of 201 × 69 × 48 cm (height x width x depth), it offers plenty of room for camping, outdoor and travel gear. That leaves more space inside your camper for what really matters: more room to live and more freedom on every journey.

Made from aluminium with a black powder-coated finish, the BOX XL is designed for permanent use on the outside of your camper. It weighs approximately 40 kg and has a maximum load capacity of 40 kg. Its lockable design and splash-proof construction help keep your equipment protected and securely stored on the road.

More than a storage box. Your own storage setup.

The BOX XL does more than provide generous storage: it can also be adapted to suit the way you travel.
Optional internal shelves help you organise the space and keep your equipment neatly stored. Especially useful for winter adventures is the optional ski insert. It divides the BOX XL into two sections: one half has shelves for your gear, while the other provides space for skis.

The outside offers even more possibilities. A front Cargo Panel comes as standard, while optional side Cargo Panels provide additional mounting points for your outdoor equipment.
Whether you are packing camping accessories, tools, recovery equipment or winter sports gear, you decide how to make the most of the available space.

Big storage. One modular system.

Despite its size, the BOX XL remains part of our modular DSRT rear carrier system. It mounts directly to the rear carrier using the proven DSRT interchangeable hole pattern and fits into your individual setup.
Due to its dimensions and weight, the BOX XL is compatible exclusively with the DSRT Flex Carrier 2.0. It is not designed for installation on the Base Carrier Plate or Multi-Mount Plate.
The DSRT Flex Carrier 2.0 is E-type approved and does not require additional registration. The BOX XL mounted on it is legally classified as cargo.

Self-installation on the Flex Carrier 2.0.

The DSRT BOX XL is designed for self-installation on the Flex Carrier 2.0.
Installation uses a total of 12 M8×20 TX40 flat-head screws. Three additional holes, each 9 mm in diameter, must be drilled through the rear panel of the box. The corresponding mounting points on the Flex Carrier serve as a guide. Tighten all screws to 25 Nm. The necessary mounting screws are included.
